After Guru Poornima, I’ve had a long hiatus from blogging, spanning the whole of August. I’m alive and well, just lazy during the dog days of summer to write.
On the first leg of the flight back from Hartford (to DFW) I started and finished reading a pre-release copy of Michael Fischman’s new book, Stumbling Into Infinity. Fantastic book — un-put-down-able. More on that in a separate post, I think.
We also had a visit in Austin of Michael Mastro, Vastu expert and author of The Way of Vastu. Simply put, Vastu is Yoga for your home or office. More on Vastu in a separate post, which is already in progress, half-complete…
Currently Shraddha and I are both reading Blink by Malcolm Gladwell.
Our good friends Vivek and Vivian tied the knot in Houston in a well-attended beautiful ceremony done in the traditional Kerala style, followed by the Chinese tea ceremony. Here’s a pic by Shraddha.
We saw Guruji on MTV! The episode is still available online on MTV.com. On the one hand it’s great that about a million viewers got to see Guruji on mainstream TV… but I can’t help wishing that they had profiled him in more detail.
We spent a day in Schlitterbahn cooling off. A water park is a lot of fun in summer, even for non-swimmers like me. I’m glad Shraddha persuaded me to go.
Got some quality time with my camera, and took a few interesting pictures, including some that couldn’t have been taken without a dedicated hot-shoe flash… that is material for another photography post, perhaps…
